As Luminary Genetics’ Director of Operations, Mae leverages her 15 years of laboratory and sales experience to bridge the distance between the IVF clinic and reference genetic laboratory. Before joining Luminary Genetics, Mae worked under Luminary Genetics’ founder Dr. Cengiz Cinnioglu at Igenomix. Starting as a laboratory technician, she was promoted to Laboratory Supervisor before transitioning to sales and becoming Senior Scientific Advisor. After Igenomix she worked for PerkinElmer as the Clinical NGS Specialist for the Americas in the Applied Genomics division, gaining a deeper understanding of next generation sequencing in various commercial and research applications. Her passion for science and education helps Luminary Genetics’ partner clinics grasp the complexities of Preimplantation Genetic Testing so their IVF patients are well-informed about the process. Mae holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology from the University of Manitoba.
